How To Repair Roads After Earthquake

Despite this it took merely four days for the Alaska Department of Transportation and Public Facilities to complete the repairs!

Alaska Tour & Travel's Facebook page shared the image of the seemingly overnight repair. Even the Anchorage Law Department shared the image. The write upwardly read:

"Here is only another great example how Alaskans are responding after terminal Friday's earthquake! The off-ramp at International Drome Route and Minnesota Boulevard in Anchorage was reopened early this morning, consummate with new asphalt."

And then astounding was the turn-around that social media commenters dismissed the photo every bit fake. Ane commenter joked that information technology would accept six years to prepare a pothole in Texas. An Alaskan commenter somewhen uploaded his own photo of the newly repaired road, proving that the route had indeed been repaired. Other commenters celebrated the repair crews who braved the cold and patched the route upwardly.

The Department of Transportation reported that compacting cobblestone in the colder temperatures was difficult, but the repairs had to be done.

The Anchorage Assembly declared a state of civil emergency in the city every bit earthquake damage repairs progressed.
